The façade combines sections of bare stone with other sections whitewashed in the traditional island style, crowned with two narrow towers which nod to the architecture of the village down the hill. Inside, this Villa is all about minimalist refinement: floor-to-ceiling white, including the furniture. The centrepiece of the lounge is the imposing fireplace, with different hues of stone which echo the exterior. A striking chandelier hangs above a wooden table surrounded by seventies-style chairs, while the vast beige sofas offer a great view of the patio. The all-white design scheme extends to the bathroom, with its smooth, rounded contours.
Out on the patio, the swimming pool boasts a breath-taking view of the mountains and the sea. Mykonos is dotted with quiet little creeks: local favourite Panormos, the warm sands of Agios Sostis Beacha and of course Ftelia Beach. And don’t miss the chance to try the island’s culinary specialities louza loukaniko and kopanisti, best enjoyed at Limnios Tavern, a family-run restaurant which is one of the very best on Mykonos.
